What is it?
The Gaming Triathlon is a fun and casual gaming tournament - it is the next stage in the evolution of G.E.T.

How is this different from other gaming tournaments?
A team consisting of 4 members will be playing a total of 3 games (2 PC / 1 console) against their opponents to move on to the next round. Teams will be given points for wins, losing above a certain score and losing below a certain score.

What games will we be playing?
Halo CE - CTF (4v4 PC)
Trackmania Nations Forever  - round based (4v4 PC)
Wildcard game on the Xbox 360 KINECT!

Sounds like a fun weekend! How do I register for this?
After you find 4 friends you can register online or head over to the Etisalat Hangout at No. 5, R.A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 04 and fill out a registration form!

What about us more competitive gamers?
Your time will come! We will be hosting LAN tournaments of your favorites competitive games on a bi-monthly basis as well - stay tuned to GLK for more info on that!

for the TM event

Don't think you've understood how this tournament works. I'm explaining it here for the benefit of everyone:

You can't register for one game - this is one tournament and everyone registers for all three games when they take part. When you play your opponent, both teams will be playing each of the three games in 3 rounds - and based on win/loss points, the winner will be chosen. So if you win the TM round, you still have to do well in the Halo CE and Kinect rounds to go to the next stage of the tournament.

It's a Triathlon where you have to be good at three games, not just one.

So it's a little clearer, let's take an example:

DC vs KTHX

We play Halo CE as our first game. DC wins it and gets 5 points, and KTHX gets 3 points. We move onto the second round of the match which is 4v4 TM. KTHX wins this and gets 5 points and DC gets only 1 point because they lost very badly (exact points system will be published soon). Last stage is the Kinect matchup, and we have 1v1 playoffs between the DC and KTHX rosters. KTHX wins and gets 5 points, and DC loses very badly, so they get 1 point. KTHX - 13 points / DC - 7. KTHX wins!
