disappointed with the Gregor...the man supposed to be over 8 feet tall.... he should've been like the great Kali of WWE who dwarfed even big wrestlers..and the mountain supposed to be a foot taller...Gregor should be the biggest god damn human anyone has ever seen...but the guy who they have chosen is just an ordinary big guy...even big show seems to be bigger than this guy in the series...

btw...... wheel of time is next best series of books after lotr.... wheel of time has admitted the wheel of time has influences from lotr... but damn good series i must ay hope they make a series out of wheel of time trailer of game of thrones looks good tho... i think ill give it a lil looksy ^^
Wheel of Time was alright, though I think you got a bit confused there My personal opinion is that so far, nothing beats ASOIAF. The only fantasy author that comes close is David Gemmell, do give him a try if you haven't already. His Druss saga is epic, and well worth a read.
Actually the actor Conan Stevens is 7ft, and weighs 320lbs. Definitely not as big as the Gregor in the books, but it would have been very difficult to find one to fit the description. Closest to Stevens would be Robert Maillet, he played the French thug in Sherlock Holmes and the Uber Immortal in 300.

Well Gammel is more of heroic fantasy isnt it ?...skillganon & druss they r like supermen...u know they will never come to harm no matter what..well until Druss dies that is..but even then the bloody idiot comes back as a ghost...or gets inside a body of a similarly built farm boy or something that I roll my eyes when i read them...the problem for Gammel is that Druss & Skillganon was such a hit that even if he kills them off he cant but help bring them back in new books with laughable plots....(like Jeane Grey in X-Men comics)The closest Aurthors there r to George R R martin is Joe Abacombie..Just checkout the Saga "the First Law" ( 3 Books... First being "The Blade Itself")A lot like Martin with politics, heroes dying, bad guys winning, excellent characters with flaws, reality, twisted, brutal (even more than ASOIAF) dark as hell & will blow u away..Its like A Feast for Crows but with LSD... The other guy is Steven Erikson... the saga is Malasan Book of the fallen (10 books).... I dare say a more interesting world than Westeros...Just checkout the blade itself & u will be hooked Xyr3s D >> Song of Ice & Fire kicks TWOT to kingdom come... the first 3-4 books were good but its all downhill from there..An Aurthur should know when to stop...when he just keeps on grinding books until he dies (To think that it was supposed to be a 3 book series)..and still cant finish it.. think its time to move on to a new series ...ASOIAF is unlike anything you've ever read..check the books out...u will be a fan for sure
but with camera tricks you can make him look bigger..remeber what they did to hobbits in LOTR.. most of it was not CGI but intelligent camera angles..If they could make the hobbits look smaller in LOTR for 3 entire movies with nothing but tricky camera angles..surly they can make a man look bigger in a couple of scenes cant they ? Remember that giant whom Archilies fights in the beginning of Troy ? Now that guy was impressive and scary & looked huge...thats what I expected with Gregor.. With modern day technology they could have made Gregor look epic..just saying
