I got mine for 8,000 from the EPSI branch on galle road near e-globe.

The G5 has on the fly DPI switching (dsnt need drivers), the middle mouse button can be clicked sideways, one side button, teflon padding that makes it feel like its floating on air :D and customizable weights which let you weigh down the mouse to make it as confortable as possible. Come with a three year warranty. Adding the driver + software lets u map all the keys to anything you want. e.g. - you can map the sidebutton to be "f" or "g" which throws a grenade in COD4. Or, what I have done is, bound it to the key combination ctrl + c.. so pressing that just copies any selected text / files etc. The middle mouse button side clicking takes me back and forward while browsing etc. The two DPI buttons can be mapped to anything you want as well, if DPI switching is not something you do.

Before I sound like I'm being paid for this writeup, i'll link you to their official site :D -

the only problem is in the keyboard.,  the sleep button near the esc key, when ur hand reaches to the end of the keyboard to press the esc key while in fast paced action game and you mistakenly press sleep ;D

anyway i am talking abt the mouse, very comfortable, no hassle, really very long battery life.,

p.s. i am not comparing this with the Logitech or the fatality, but this one was well worth the cash i paid (4k for both)

The fatal1ty has the same features(except maybe mapping KEYBOARD buttons, AFAIK) :D but...cheaper :P and I think it looks nicer. Not trying to compete with rav or anything, I just want to give a broader range of choies... :D

<_< Ive noticed....
Rameez, why not try opening the keybord and removing the rubbery piece that makes contact with the circuit board thingy of the keyboard? I did that with my windows key :D

REVIEW

Interesting quote from that review
Quote
I do not like looking at this mouse for too long, but I do like how it feels under my hand. It seems like it was indeed a very hard task to make this mouse look nice while not sacrificing its main purpose, ergonomics and control. It fails miserably at being something you’d showoff for its looks. It looks like the Danny DeVito of of gaming mice, short and stocky.

As for the G5, the EPSI store only has the Battlefield branded G5.. so if you're not into that, it might be a turn off.

But what I find most appealing about the G5 (apart from the usual features) is how the weights have been built into the mouse.

You get a lot of tiny round1.7g and 4.5g weights that can be fitted into a weight holder. You can combine any amount of 1.7g weights and 2.5g weights that makes it very very customisable. Though this might not be very useful for most people, if you know what you want regarding weight needs, this really comes in handy.

And the weight packaging is pretty sweet too :D

If you're looking for left handed mice in SL, you're in trouble. Best look for them abroad.

EDIT: Tomshardware has a gaming mouse roundup here - Link to conclusion page

That should give you a pretty decent idea where the G5 stands against competition.

guys i used to have a mouse called a4 tech OP 620D (with double click feature)
its the best mouse i ever used for gaming even though  it doesnt have any thumb buttons or dpi settings..this has 620 dpi.
the double click cud be used ingame and its very useful when shooting long range (unbelievable actually....easy headshots). this is a mouse worth checking out, trust me.
