« on: May 18, 2007, 06:43:17 am »
hey these are  some useful console commands (they are not cheats  :P ,tournies allow em.but couterstrike source takes some of  them as cheats)

client side
cl_backspeed 999
cl_sidespeed 999
cl_forwardspeed 999
hud_fastswitch 1  (dont have to click to change weapon)
hud_centerid 1 (name tag appears in middle of the screen, so that you can detect enemy or friend easily. you dont have to look to the left bottom corner of the screen)

server side
mp_forcechasecam 1 (damn useful in LAN games so that ppl cant spectate opponent screens)
mp_tkpunish 0  ;D
sv_cheats 0 (usually this is set to 0 in the beginning)

if you know anymore useful commands pls tell. The full list is so big.

Multiplayer / CS 1.6 NoSteam (Windows) Server Installation Tutorial
« on: May 17, 2007, 11:51:26 am »
This is a very helpful tutorial on getting your own non steam (cracked) server running on the internet.
So players from around the world can play with you :) but there are problems related to DSL lines, our lines.
I tried to get some players from singapore, four of them.
Their pings were at around 1000ms ;D but I cud handle one of them alone at around 200ms.
My connection is a 512kbps home package. So
i recommend you to run this only if you have a 2MBps office connection
and of course with a love for cs :)

The updating might take a long tym to download.

First Person Shooters / call of duty 4!! finally it isnt WW2
« on: May 03, 2007, 04:32:54 pm »
Quote from: gamespot
For months, rumors have raged that the Call of Duty series would follow in the footsteps of Battlefield, its biggest rival in the military shooter genre, into the modern era of warfare. Today, the franchise's publisher, Activision, made it official. Developed by COD creators Infinity Ward, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will eschew the franchise's traditional World War II setting in favor of a fictional conflict set during contemporary times.

Unfortunately, the setting is about all that's known about COD4. No details--including platforms--were revealed to the press. Instead of issuing the typical press release, Activision has decided to unveil the game via a trailer that will be shown during the NFL Draft on ESPN at (10 a.m. PDT /1 p.m. EDT) this Saturday April 28.

woopie finally finally!!! i was so fed up of playing world war 2 themed games, we have done the same thing over and over again. now they go for modern war.. phew
wat do u guys think ? should ww2 games continue or not? i support non-futuristic present warfare  ;D
