Game Lounge / Best Battlefield 3 Weapon
« on: January 25, 2013, 08:00:52 am »
Hi soldiers, use this thread to talk more about your favorite weapon in BF3's arsenal with Kit and Loadout on accessories. I know it might not mean much for some but generally researching and talking about your favorite can help others interested in the topic choose and have the best outcome. So please contribute

For me, personally its the M416. I've unlocked better rifles but this one serves me best with its high 750RPM, low recoil, mag capacity and reload time. Won many sniper battles with the low recoil, and highest kill streak under 5 seconds was 6 kills. I have not been playing much (started online on the 360 4 days ago) but so far, the M416 has helped me improve a lot more than any other Loadout. I've included mine, again I have unlocked other accessories but with IRNV scope, the M416 has performed marvels

Source: Capcom

Following the announcement of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen last year we are now pleased to confirm concrete details about this expansion to the world of Dragon’s Dogma. Scheduled for release on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from April 23 in North America and April 26 across Europe, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the next exciting chapter in the Dragon’s Dogma franchise. Coming both on a physical disc and as a full game digital download, the title delivers a huge brand new area, missions, enemies and more, plus all of the content from the original game.

Just off the Gransys mainland is the cursed Bitterblack Isle and it is here that gamers will discover an underground realm, complete with new terrifying foes to face and incredible treasure to find as they embark on an all new quest. Owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will be able to export their existing characters and all other saved data, to continue their journey as the Arisen and face this new threat that has emerged from the cavernous depths. Players will be able to take their characters to new heights, with brand new high-level skills and augments as well as all new weapons and armour sets. For those that missed Dragon’s Dogma the first time around, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen provides the opportunity to start their journey from the very beginning before tackling the all new content.

Furthermore, owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will receive the following for free on purchasing Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen: 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack consisting of six brand new costumes.

Based on player feedback, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will make the Dragon’s Dogma gameplay experience even more satisfying, with improvements such as easier travel and a more intuitive menu system. For those who already own Dragon’s Dogma and then purchase Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, these improvements will be automatically retrofitted to their original game.

So, what does Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen deliver?

All of the content from the original Dragon’s Dogma plus…

A massive new underground realm to explore featuring over 25 terrifying new enemies
More skills/equipment/augments:

No Game Zone / Savoy 3D or Majestic 3D
« on: January 16, 2013, 10:05:23 pm »
Most or everyone of you might have already watched films in both cinemas. Which one was the best, care to comment more on the topic?

I watched the Hobbit at Savoy, this was the first time I watched a film in 3D at that cinema, my first was the Avengers at the Majestic Superior. Was a bit squirmish about going for the Hobbit because I did not want to ruin the moment, thought the quality would be bad like that of the Superior, but I was surprised and the Hobbit was in supperb quality. Thought it was just the Avengers (very dark, blurry imagery) but the same happened when i went for Hotel Transylvania today. The quality was stupid awful, not the film, but the quality of the headgear and screen.

Has someone also had the same effect at one of these cinemas? Or do I need to get eye-wear cause I think i might be loosing my eye sight?

Hardware / Peripherals / AV to VGA Help
« on: December 30, 2012, 09:56:42 pm »
I got a AV to VGA cable the one with red, yellow and white to connect my xbox 360 to PC monitor (Syncmaster 943) but I keep getting no signal message on the monitor. There aren't any settings to use a PC monitor in system settings of the 360. Any advice?

Game Lounge / Trailer for Human Revolution, A Live-Action Deus Ex Film
« on: December 24, 2012, 07:13:30 am »
Director Moe Charif stars in this teaser for his short film inspired by Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Will this be the standard fans hold the official live-action film to? I hope not.

Personally, I hate it. It’s quaint, it’s cool to see cybernetics in action, but a punch-a-thon is not what I’d want from a Deus Ex film. Or any cyberpunk film for that matter. I’d rather focus on the social issues concerning transhumanism.

Also: I laughed out loud when I first saw Jensen’s face and his terrible, terrible pointy beard.

You should probably judge the teaser for yourselves, though:

Hardware / Peripherals / Will a Logitech G330 be compatible with a 360?
« on: December 01, 2012, 07:10:07 am »
Hi everyone. I have been searching for a good headset that will work with my 360 for sometime now. I spoke to Redline and Sabreen recommended the Armageddon Avatar Pro X7, wish I had the budget to cover that but i wanted something cheaper. Was looking around and found out that the G330 is compatible and recommended by an ex-employee and moderator for Logitech forum. Wanted to know if this was true? It does not come up anywhere else and wanted to know if anyone had ever used this headset on either PS3 or 360. Will go for Razer's Chimaera if not for the G330. The headset is available at Redline so let me know

Thanks in advance

Game Lounge / Destiny
« on: November 28, 2012, 06:41:24 am »

Leaked materials provided to IGN by a reader have revealed story details and concept art from Destiny, Bungie’s follow-up to the Halo franchise. Bungie has confirmed to IGN that the document was prepared by an advertising agency and represents an outside look at Destiny’s plot, key values and more.

According to the document, “Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man’s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it’s here for, but only that it’s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young ‘knights’ tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and – eventually – overcoming it.” Elsewhere in the document, the massive alien ship is referred to as “the Traveler.”

Destiny is further described as “fun and accessible to all,” aiming “to create a universe as deep, tangible and relatable as that of the Star Wars franchise.” Based on the language in the document, it appears that Bungie aims to create a universe accessible to multiple demographics, perhaps suggesting that Destiny will be less mature than Bungie’s efforts with Halo. A quote from Bungie co-founder Jason Jones says “Destiny is designed for your inner seven year old. We want to make it feel like a mythic adventure.”

Destiny’s gameplay is described by the document as “social at its core,” offering “a world to explore with friends, both old and new.” It’s unclear whether this confirms comments from Bungie in 2011 that the game is an MMO, which Bungie later called a joke. The document also includes a Destiny logo along with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 icons, as well as the URL Destiny.com. It’s worth noting that while Destiny.com is currently password-protected, if it is indeed a URL that’s been purchased by Bungie, it could suggest that Destiny will indeed be the game’s final name rather than a codename as previously speculated.

The name Destiny first emerged in May when court documents revealed details on four games in the series. At the time, installments in the Destiny series were revealed to be coming in fall 2013, fall 2015, fall 2017 and fall 2019. In 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020, downloadable expansions known as “Comet” were also said to be planned.

The contract suggested the first Destiny game would be available first on Xbox 360 as well as “the next successor console platform released by Microsoft,” which the contract referred to as Xbox 720. Releases on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC were said to be planned in the years following, though today's information suggests and more closely timed release could be a possibility.

ALSO for those going to buy the Original PC disc  WARNING
Mass Effect Accidentally Included with Black Ops 2! The second installation disc inadvertently replaced for some players

Rumor has it that about a thousand customers who purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops II for PC were also treated to a surprise copy of Mass Effect 2. If you were one of the affected, chances are you thought it was a mistake

Some players are opening boxed copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops II on PC and finding the second installation disc replaced by a copy of Mass Effect 2. According to the Steam forums, BioWare forums and Reddit, users report that while the disc art shows the Black Ops II logo, it boots up as Mass Effect 2 when inserted into a PC.

It’s worth noting that players can simply use the serial number included in the packaging to download a full copy of the game, so customers will only be prevented from playing if they're unable to download the files. For now it’s unclear how widespread the problem is

Good luck  to all you PC game buyers
