So next time this happens turn the pc off and then yank the power cord off the psu, or if it has a on/off switch turn psu off. Now hold down the computer power on button for 20 or 30 seconds. This will discharge all the capacitors in the PC. Now plug the power cords back in and start the pc, it might startup normally.
So something like this happened to me , it usually means some components are failing due to fatigue and their warranty ending
. In my case my VGA was first to go, followed by the PSU, after that my mobo. All the said products worked for about a year after their manufacturer warranty ended.
