For the second consecutive year, Sri Lanka will observe Earth Hour today with ministries, government institutions, private sector firms and civil organizations taking part in the switching off of lights for an hour, Earth Hour Sri Lanka Chairman Abdul Qadir Uwais said yesterday.
He said more than 4,000 cities in 131 countries including Sri Lanka would switch off the lights in many of their land mark buildings – the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt; Eiffel Tower in Paris; Times Square in New York and the Sydney Opera House and Bridge in Australia -- between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. their time in a symbolic gesture against climate change.
“The Sri Lanka 2011 Earth Hour Brand Ambassadors are Bathiya and Santhush. They will perform live at the Galle Face Green tonight from 8.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.,” Mr. Uwais said adding that the brand ambassadors invited all their fans to extend their support by switching off extra lights and to be with them during this hour.
India’s Earth Hour ambassador is Bollywood actress Vidya Balan while former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram is his country’s brand ambassador.
Mr. Uwais said Sri Lanka’s Trade and Environment Ministry has pledged its support for the event while many private sector firms would also be among those observing Earth Hour.
Meanwhile going beyond Saturday’s Earth Hour, Western Province Environment Minister Udaya Gammanpila had urged Sri Lankans to switch off their lights on Sunday as well between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.

one more thing is your motherboard drivers support windows 7 ? since u have troble by your self, take it to a computer hardware engineer, it will cost some thing better loosing hair by stress solving probs u dont know just a suggestion
well did u try reinstalling your audio drivers, try lowering ur sound hardware acceleration it works always with sound problems, and most of all whats your operating system
