Bought a SMC Wifi router my pc works when it's connected to the internet through it but i cannot connect through my ipod. How can i solve this?

i've seen gazillion vids and tutorials on how to jailbreak IOS 4.3.3 but nothing worked. neither did redsn0w which happen to have worked on many people. so if anybody there knows and had done jailbreaking personally can you please tell me how to. or should i rather give it to someone and pay?

I got this Dell Latitude D620 that was bought like 1 1/2 years ago, and now it's not charging. When I plug in the charger the charger light keeps dim blinking. Still the lappy doesn't charge.
