The games / Rhyme-Tyme
« on: October 27, 2008, 09:56:36 pm »
How to play:
It's basically a game with an aim to produce a funny (maybe very long) poem. To this end, members can contribute a phrase or sentence (of not more than 7 words) at a time, which will be added to the poem. The last word of the phrase/sentence should rhyme in the 1,2;1,2 format.
i.e.
1) Once upon a time
2) Tom threw a dime
1) It fell into the throat
2) Of Mrs. Billy Goat
1) Who carried lovely pie...
Before posting, participants should note which word they should rhyme their phrase's last word with. Failing to do so will result in rejection of that particular entry.
In the context of the above example, if I am to post a phrase, I would rhyme my phrase's last word with 'pie'. Something like; "But didn't want to die..." which leaves the poem as follows:
1) Once upon a time
2) Tom threw a dime
1) It fell into the throat
2) Of Mrs. Billy Goat
1) Who carried a lovely pie
2) But didn't want to die...
So go ahead let the game begin!
