I'm offering USD. As for the rate it's still something I've to think about, since I've opened this thread to gauge interest only.

However, it appears that the news article from yesterday is only pertaining, as you mentioned, to exporters and remittances in that regard. I checked the gazette today. In this case, I may not sell the USD at all, I would just keep it in my RFC account.

Also, my account is still labelled as an "RFC Savings" account. It does not appear as a PFC. Just wanted to mention. Wouldn't be surprised if newer accounts are labelled as such.

Rate would be a medium between bank rate and street rate

I wanted to check how many people are interested in Paypal credit.

I would transfer the money from my account to yours. You would have to pay the fees.

You can then deposit LKR to my account local account.

I'm not planning on doing it immediately. Just checking based on the current bank regulations imposed on foreign currency (RFC) accounts.

Please reply to the thread or message me if you are interested.

I repeat - This post is to gauge interest ONLY.

Unknown, I think your situation is a lot better than Lions. If you haven't noticed, this girl was in an international school, is studying at an IVY league university, and is basically on the other side of the world.

Some dude from SLT just called me. At least the guy eemed to be intelligent so I didn't yell at him. What i gathered in the convo-

1. This issue is not common for all XCite users. They have manually blocked only the users with high usage.

2. SLT will be launching several packages with FUP in future, maybe in 2-3 weeks time. FUP limits likely to be 5GB, 15GB and 30GB. (f*** all of them)

3. 512k Home, Entree and 2mbps office will not get FUP, even in future (i f***ing hope this is true)

3. XCite will continue to exist. But it will be a low priority sort of package. The current situation with shit ass slow speeds may improve in 2-3 weeks time.

What he recommended me to do:

If i need the problem resolved quickly, either upgrade to 2mbps or downgrade to 512k.
If not, give it 2-3 weeks without downgrading from XCite and see how it goes.

And he also admitted that they have done the changes without planning and CC may have bullshitted me before.

Personally, i will wait and see how it turns out after 2-3 weeks. I don't have high hopes though.

I wish this is what that regional manager told me, instead of the dumb crap that was thrown at me. He must have thought i was 14 or something -__-

Okay guys, I'm pretty much going to explain the last month of my internet connection.

It all began at the start of august, where I began encountering the rot of SLT. Politely explaining the situation, the slt people checked the line the next day for no faults. Absurd I thought, but that night the internet was fine, and I forgot the entire thing.

A week or so later, I called again informing them of the same situation as before, but only worse. A larger crew came the next day, checked it, said "We will return after lunch", obviously, they didn't. 2 days later, the internet was fine again, and I assumed some other repairs were undertaken.

1 and a half weeks ago, the plague returned, and in full blast. My internet speed dropped to around 256kbp/s, although the jitter and traffic made it feel worse.  Extremely annoyed again, I called and was told they will get back to me. The next day, I receive a call saying "I am sorry, we cannot help you".

Furious, I contacted them to get information on my regional manager. Finally, after many delays I met and spoke to him yesterday.

Conversation was normal as I explained the problem and he inquired about my line, then slowly he went on to mention a whole load of ridiculous excuses about the problem.

1. A new volume package with download limits has higher priority over the unlimited packages, and therefore people in the unlimited packages will have problems henceforth. If you opt for a volume package your ensured "good" internet.

2. As local A/L's have ended, the people have been using the internet a lot more causing this problem.

3. Your internet connection is only UP TO 1mb, and it will never be 1 mb, only less.

4. The pipe's, which are set according to the number of users, are facing strains due to more people upgrading to the Xcite package. I think he mentioned A/L finishing here too. (BTW, my friend who went to inquire about it a while back was informed that it was better to stay with 512)

5. He said, maybe the problem is due to your high bandwith downloads. Again I repeated saying I am using unlimited package, to which he said yes but high bandwith usage could cause your specific line to face problems. Oddly, even if I don't download I will face this problem. I was assured there is no FUP though, although he did mention it may not always stay this way.

6. Your area is a high bandwith zone, this cannot be helped. (Last 5 years I have had fine internet btw).

In the end he also mentioned that others don't seem to find a big problem with the line, only since I download I may be facing some issues.

I spent nearly 30 mins listening to the same things, and left feeling seriously cheated. Also I feel I got an indirect assurance that I will forever face this problem.

I feel like im using dial up now -__-. Let's just hope etisalat joins the fray with some awesome packages... They have the funds being an MNC, and I doubt they store it in their bank accounts :P

I read somewhere that it was $59.99. Maybe the price for digital purchase will cost a little less, but it didn't happen for WoW, so I don't think it will happen here.

lol.....i really don't play demos or beta games...which act as only a "tease"...really isn't my style...ok this is off topic sorry.....but had to clarify.....

Wow you should have seen what happened with HoN. We even played a tournament in the beta :P

Anyway not sure if most of you'll know, SC2 is coming out on july 27th. Pretty awesome.:) Unlike WoW expansions, this time the game will be purchasable online the same day it is released. Basically thats 10 30 pm on the 27th.

Blizzards allowing us to download the client early to reduce the load on the release day, and also since the game is quite big. I highly suggest you'll don't download from other sites EXCEPT your b.net account site since like WoW which has 2 areas(US and EU) SC2 will be following the trend and therefore different clients for different areas. I suggest you'll DL the US or EU clients since South asia will be crawling with non-english speaking people.

Haha, Risk 2. I never really heard about it until I played a custom map of it made for wc3. Now the only reason I get on wc3 B.net is to play it, it's absolutely EPIC.
