Hey Guys, i have finally put my build together and it is running smooth, but i have a question about thermals as i have no idea what the lankan benchmark ahould be.

These are my current specs

Ryzen 9 5900x
32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 16-18-18-36
Asus B550-F
Asus TUF RTX 3080
NZXT X53

At idle, My CPU is at around 42C and GPU is around 45C. Whilst playing Horizon Zero Dawn, CPU is at 80C and GPU is around 65C which is quite toasty.

I am not concerned with my GPU performance as i think the thermals are doing quite well at 90% utilization but i am not sure if i should worried about my CPU. I know that my CPU is rated up to an 80C temp but i am not sure if this is reasonable or not.

Also i am trying to check my CAS latency for RAM but i can't seem to interpret the CPU-Z reading. a screenshot is attached, would someone be able to let me know if it fits the advertised latency on the card. Fyi- i could not find a KIT so i bought two ram sticks with the identical spec.

Not sure if this is the right place for this topic

My final component of my build is the graphic card which I finally collected enough cash to purchase. This is a discussion I briefly had with briefly had with bluehaze as well some time back.

The choice I am facing is between a RTX 3080 and RX6800 XT. my use case is to play games in 1440p res (hopefully dual monitors in the future), I mostly play open world games and I also wanted to bit of additional work such as video editing as well.

One of my concerns is that the needs to be somewhat future proof (ideally at least for the next 3 years, hopefully??). I still think Ray tracing has a long way to go so it really it doesn't matter to me.

I would have leaned on RTX 3080 but it is only 10gigs where as 6800XT has 16gb and I see some games already using 10gb vram.

What do you guys think, which is more suitable and be more value to me.

Anyone know any place in SL a 5900X? already checked Nanotek and Redline, they will only sell with complete system and not individually. Appreciate if anyone has any advice.
