PS4 / Any Overwatch PS4 players?

The topic says it all

In that case, does that mean I'm still connecting to US servers?

So I created an Indonesian PSN account since they had the cheapest PS+ subscription rates but the surprising thing is I didn't need a PS+ subscription to play Overwatch. Before actually subscribing to PS+ I thought I'd check whether Overwatch would work on this account since I had purchased it using my US account. The plan was to subscribe to PS+ after I confirmed that the game booted because I was expecting it to say that I needed PS+ sub to play (I remember getting this when I tried to play using the US account). However, I was able to play Overwatch without getting the PS+ subscription!!!  :D

Anyways since there's no way to check the actual pings on the PS4 please bear in mind that this is merely my perception and that I could be wrong. When I started playing, the high latency indicator didn't show up while I was playing but I noticed it showed up whenever the Kill Cam was shown. After a while though I noticed it showing up more frequently but I guess its not as bad as with the US account because from what I could see, specially based on the Kill Cam footage, there wasn't much of a lag. Hope this was of some help  :)

Oh right. I guess I'll give an Asian PSN account a try for 3 months then.

PS4 / Does the PSN account region have any effect on the latency/lag?
« on: February 13, 2017, 07:16:21 pm »
My PSN account is a US one (been having it since the time of my PS3). I play Overwatch a lot and I've noticed a high latency icon (lighting bolt icon on the upper left half of the screen) constantly lighting up. I was wondering whether the using an Asian region account would help?

My line of thought was that if the server I'm connecting to is located in the same region as my account, then maybe having an Asian account would reduce the lag.

Penny for your thoughts?

TBH even 3900 (i.e. 3000/- package) is a bit much for me which is why I'm a hesitating at the moment. As for the speed I'm currently using SLT's old 512 kbps package so even 1 Mbps will be a pretty significant improvement for me ;D

Would you happen to know the breakdown of the tax? How's the ping on WiMAX?

I don't think I'll be shifting houses any time soon so the relocation fee isn't a bit concern at the moment. The main reason I find the WiMAX so appealing is due to the unlimited bandwidth. There are at least 3 people using the internet at home and I'm barely able to not exceed the quota on SLT. I fear with 4G we might exceed it faster due to the faster speeds.

Thanks. I don't suppose you know of anyone close to you who uses the WiMAX connections huh?

Also how's their after sales service? Any experience with that?

Hey guys, first of all, happy new year!

Now on to my query... I've been considering getting a Lankabell internet connection since I'm not happy with SLT. I'm leaning towards WiMAX since it's apparently unlimited albeit at a slower speed.

I was wondering whether anyone who uses (or has used) Lankabell's 4G or WiMAX connection could share their experiences with me. I'm also curious about the latency on these connections.
