Classifieds / Re: [Selling] M.2 sata ssd Transcend 2042 256gb 11k

OK thanks for the details. I think this drive is very rare to find in Sri Lanka,
I search place to buy it for long time but I didn't find.
If you know a place to buy this exact product please share with this group. it is very helpful someone looking it. This very good for some laptop models specially Lenova "T" series.
This is not a full size M.2 this is fit with laptop WiFi adapter slot.
Ok as ur request I'll remove the price and change it to offers. :) :)
My request? No, I can only provide my 2c and suggestions, not a mod here.

I wouldn't say it fits WiFi adapter slot either because laptops are so different between models, some have miniPCIe slots. Need to look up on each model separately to ensure compatibility.

Anyway, those details were left out in the OP but 2242s aren't too hard to find, while most desktops use 2280s. Exact model, not sure but Transcend drives are available and so are 2242s in LK.

well, not sure about matching 2080ti, even the 3070. With RT on both of them will perform better but still It depends on the workload / game. Some games will get more fps on 2080ti. It is because of what they have done with this new architecture.
Depends a lot on the game itself this time, if comparing 2080 Ti vs 3070. While the 3070 has more raw shader performance, it's got lower raster and texture throughput, smaller memory bandwidth and lacking 3GB. Updated memory compression and PCIe 4.0 might help somewhat. Unfortunately, even the 3080 reviews got pushed from tomorrow to Wednesday and we won't be seeing anything about the 3070 until next month AFAIK.

The 3070 can theoretically be up to ±25% performance of the 2080 Ti depending on how well each game gets optimized for the two cards.

Compute will definitely favour the Ampere card though.

That drive was available locally for 9,500 with a 2 year warranty.
Decent 250GB NVMe drives are there for 10K at Nanotek now.

You may want to reconsider your pricing.

Is this SSD reliable? I can't find any reviews about it on the Internet.

i bought a 2080 super last month:) yay.
Ouch, too bad we don't have a return policy in Sri Lanka. Because even paying 15% restocking fee and getting a 3070 next month is worth it!

Yeah like wont expect a 2060 to go below 50k anytime soon given this is sri lanka.but overall the cards look pretty sweet and like a 3070 is 4x better than a 2070?
So thats a pretty nice deal
AMD is gonna have to like do alot more to be competitive (they might since the power thingy with 3090)or just give us budget plebs some light

Used market is gonna be all over the place in the next months and i can see guys arguing over high markups
2060 won't go to 50K right now because most of them are new cards still under warranty; guess they'd sell for $240ish on the used market but it'll be closer to 55-58K once we get them down here. And also, it's the high end which has bigger markup when buying brand new and those cards lose value quickly compared to the mid/lower end.

Was waiting to check on AMD myself because I didn't expect this sort of price/performance at all from Nvidia even though I tuned into the livestream.
RDNA1 was very good, 5700 XT gave 75% of 2080 Ti performance at 40% cost. But since new Navi is supposed to double everything and add RT, even if IPC increase results in perfect scaling, it might still be around 25 - 30% slower than the 3080 at around the same price + power consumption while offering 6GB more memory. Have to wait and see what both companies bring to the table, and buy on Black Friday.

The card is lit got 70 ish frames on RE2 ULTRA
That's great to hear man, enjoy the card! AMD usually offers better price to performance.

I don't think the prices will immediately go down due to import restrictions. We would have to wait for few months to get a card for a reasonable price.
Maybe not brand new cards but used stuff comes through air freight, we've been getting RX570s down in small batches of 10 - 15 cards at a time. 1070 stock had dried up but now we might get some, sold at 40K with 3 month warranty. Don't think prices will change much below 50K but bringing down expensive cards without confirmed buyers is a bit risky for us. There will be someone or the other coming up to fill that market anyway, so given the usual 3 month warranty, prices should fall around -

2080 Ti - 95K
2080S - 85K
2080 - 80K
2070S - 75K
2070 / 2060 S / 5700 XT / 1080 Ti - 68K
2060 / 5700 - 58K
1080 - 50K
1070 Ti / Vega 64 / 1660S / 1660 Ti - 45K
1070 / Vega 56 / 1660 - 40K
980 Ti / 1650S / 5500 XT / RX 590 - 35K
1060 6G / RX 580 - 30K

At least, this is what they're worth now here in LK after getting down and paying taxes etc., probably cost less if you look on eBay.

Was going to post this last night before the live stream but since this is the classifieds section, held onto that thought for a while. But seeing as this the only active section of GLK left, posting this here anyway.

Mods - If you deem the thread irrelevant for this section, please move it. But given that this directly impacts the used market and classifieds, and literally no one checking out other sub-forums, think it makes sense to be here.

Was expecting the used market to crash big time from 2080 TI's going at $1000 down to $400, and seems it has already happened.

eBay prices have crashed overnight, and many high end cards will now start coming down to LK as well. Don't think this will affect brand new pricing in Sri Lanka as we get very low volumes and with no manufacturer representation in the country, dealers / distributors here will not be willing to take massive blows on the current gen cards costing above LKR 100,000.

How do you guys think this would affect the used local market though? We know markets aren't rational in Sri Lanka, like old used cars appreciating instead of depreciating as they should but maybe the supply outstripping demand should crash prices here as well?
IMO, we should be able to get down a 3070 for LKR 105,000 next month and available locally below 125K by November. Any previous gen used GPU should literally cost no more than 100K moving forward, what do you guys think?

not mine 8)
Thanks man, but that's a scammer, be careful!

My experience -
The same guy had this listed in Kaduwela earlier with a different name and account, with these same pics but without a mobile number. Got the contact no. through ikman chat and called multiple times, cut all the calls. All correspondence was thereafter through WhatsApp. I asked for the location so that I could go pick it up, he then changed the story saying he's from Kandy. When I told him I live in Kandy, he moved back to Kaduwela "for studies" and was having "exams" for the next couple of weeks. :D Since I travel to Colombo often, I told him that's still fine with me and asked for the exact location. But he was asking me to send him a photo of my ID and deposit cash to his account because he will send it through courier. I flat out refused to give him any of that and the guy blocked me. Reported to ikman and asked them to call him and verify the authenticity, the ad was removed in a few hours.

I don't have a receipt but you can claim it through redline for the next 3 years from today's date. This is a warranty replacement.
Assumed it must have been a replacement for a RX580 and yeah, just confirmed with Redline as well, and this card gets a fresh 3 year warranty. I know you're in a hurry but details man.
You lost the original invoice?
