Need some help running it. So I downloaded the game from the above link extracted the contents n ran setup. at the end of the setup i checked the box ' run black mesa source ' , nothing happened though. There seems to be no .exe file in the installed directory either. :S
I went ahead n bought myself a game code. Tried playing on the EU server and the NA server as you said but the game is unplayable due to extremely high ping. The average latency was around 800msecs.
I have a 1mb SLT connection, hence as you all know the speed has being going on a downward trend since some time now. Is there any possible way to reduce the latency in order to make the game playable without moving on to a different service provider ?
Been waiting for a while now hoping diablo 3 would finally get a private server but it looks like thats not gonna happen for quite some time. Hence i was thinking of downloading the client and purchasing a key for the game.
Anyone playing the game on blizzards server ? was just wondering whether it has a good ping . Considering the internet speeds SLT provides these days. Don't want to go wasting 60$ for nothing.
