Title: Where can you buy a monitor mounting arm that can support a 32" screen?
Post by: OMGitsShan on November 26, 2018, 02:08:38 am
Have a monitor that needs to move around more than the stand will allow so I want to take the stand off and put a monitor mounted arm on the back and then fasten it to the edge of the desk. Are there any sellers who sell these arms? Needs to be able to hold a 32" screen. Wall mounting isn't an option.

Looks great. How much did it cost - and did they have any double or triple monitor setups?

Thanks! Cost was Rs 8,250. Swivels and tilts in every direction so can be used for whatever scenario you need it for. The upper arm is gas filled. When you feel the tension before a monitor is fixed to it, it has a lot of pressure and never seems to move down. However once you add a monitor, the weight of the monitor counters the arm and you can then easily move the monitor in any direction. There are tension screws at the joints if you feel the need to increase/decrease the pressure. Also plastic covers along the arms can hide any wiring. I usually have it pushed back and down when I'm at my desk and then have it move out, above and tilted over my bed. One thing to note about the this arm in particular is that in addition to having the normal clap on the side of the desk etc, it also comes with an alternative tool set if for example you have a hole drilled into a desk. this way the top part of the clamp goes over the hole and then another bolt goes through with an alternative metal piece to hold from below. So this is good for both side clamping and if you have a hole in the desk already.

They have lots of different arm setups. They have single, dual, triple and even a six monitor stand. The thing is that most of these are not on show in the shop. They have them in the catalog. Go into a store and ask for the catalog. Anything they have in their catalog, they can order for you. If you visit a store and just look at whats on display, you may be disappointed. The arm I bought was luckily on display as I wanted to try it out. Must have been popular, as some other dude was buying 10 at the same time as me!
