Hey guys, this might be bit of a random question. So apparently Ralph Lauren polos are imported from Sri Lanka and I was wondering whether they sold any here, even the ones with small factory defects.

Asus P7P55D Deluxe OR Evga P55 FTW
« on: April 01, 2010, 12:03:15 am »
Hey there...

I currently own an Intel DP55WB motherboard. Although its a very basic board, I had to go with it as I was financially down at the time of purchase. But now that I got some extra bucks I was advised to go for a better board as Intels arent usually recommended for the long run. However I was told that Asus or EVGA are quite great models.

Could anyone tell me what mobo I shud go for. the "Asus P7P55D" or the "EVGA P55 FTW"
They are almost the same price, the EVGA being abt 2000 more. But i dont mind that, as long as i get a good mobo that last long and is future proof.

Or shud i just stick to the Intel mobo. I aint an avid gamer or anything, just for general gaming and video editing. But i would certainly love a good mobo that wud last longer n that wud allow me future upgrades. cos i seriously dont see the Intel mobo lasting more than 3yrs :D

here are my specs

Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.66ghz
Intel DP55WB mobo
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333mhz
750GB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 GPU
In Win 750W Commander PSU
In Win Fanqua Gamer Casing
21.5" Samsung LCD

Thanks In advance
Intel 6th gen Core i7-6700K | Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3 motherboard | TeamDark 8GB DDR4 @3000mhz | ASUS GTX 670 2GB | 1TB Toshiba HDD | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD | Antec 450W PSU | Corsair Carbide 400R Casing

get the EVGA P55 FTW  cause its only like 1000 rs more than the asus and has more features plus the  EVGA has all 16 phase digital pulse with modulation where as the asus has analog and digital both ....
so in this case EVGA > asus

I hurd that the ASUS overclocks almost as same as the EVGA ftw. and infact the overclock procedure is less time consuming wen compared to the EVGA. arrrg.

If you can get Asus P7P55D Deluxe (not Asus P7P55D LE) for less price I think it's a good deal.
I believe you are not a overclocker, so It's better to get the most reliable brand like ASUS. :)

Are you willing to get it from unity or via slmega?

I wouldn't suggest either of them.
Go for the Asus P7P55D-E line with SATA3 an USB 3 support which makes em future proof.
And the Asus SATA3 implementation is faster than Gigabyte's according to reviews.
