I ordered Uncharted from Play Asia about two weeks back. However still the package has not turned up. Basically has anyone here ordered from Play Asia? And if so how long does it take to deliver items?

(basically I wasn't sure where to post this, which is why i settled on Communal Assistance. Apologies in advance to the mods, if required

I dont know how much time it takes to SL but my parents sent me a DHL package with documents from Sri Lanka to Aus beleive it or not it took 4 weeks!! for it to arrive here. I think theres lots of custom clearence and stuff to deal with.

A friend of mine always orders through playasia. He gets a package within 10 days if im not mistaken.

What was the delivery method you used? I've ordered via play-asia and have always received my stuff..

It was the airmail bubble. Basically the cheapest option. They've indicated it takes 5-14 days for delivery. Still waiting tho on the 16th day. Hope the customs havent got hold of it.......

Hmm..... its been more than 30 days now as of today. I ordered Little Big Planet from Ebay on the 28th of Nov and received it a few days back (Dec 2nd).

Shipping was from Hong Kong which i believe is the same location Play Asia ships from. Shipping options were the same too.

What would be all of your advice? Wait for a week or two before instigating action thru paypal?

i get my stuff just as u (air mail bubble) and i got it in 10 days.
since its more that 30 days, first directly contact play asia and try to resolve it.
please note that paypal has a 45 day limit from the day the transaction occured. so if u going via paypal better start the dispute now.

Did you use a CC or PayPal? I heard that with the CC it can get delayed sometimes but 30 days is pretty insane!
One thing that worries me is the SL Postal f***ers have to open up everything to check, I'm really worried that someone a**hole might steal it or something.

I used my credit card which is linked to Paypal. But this is the first time ive had such issues,since i have ordered previously items off Ebay, Amazon.com all through pay pal with no issues.

Just fyi when I contacted Play Asia they wanted me to wait three weeks for their investigation process to begin. Which means Im screwed since Im out of the 45 day period offered by Paypal.

They asked me to contact my post office. Which leads me to the question, how? Do I turn up and ask them if they have seen a copy of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune lying around anywhere?

I ordered the item on the 3rd of November so its around 33 days as at today. Therefore I will be giving this two to three days before I dispute via Paypal.

33 days is quite a ways off for Play-Asia. I suggest you open a Paypal dispute quickly so that they are aware of the investigation. Paypal would then get the seller to carry out their investigation into the matter. Doing this would allow you to get your refund since Paypal is now informed of the investigation. It is more likely to be a lost parcel in the mail unfortunately.

Contacting the post office isn't practical here in SL. What you could do though is go to your local post office, get to the mail room and ask them whether you have received any mail to your address within the past 2 weeks or so. They usually have records of it, but since this is SL I highly doubt you will find anything fruitful!

Works best in the UK and US though hehehe..

1. What delivery method should I use ?
2. Will it be held up at the customs ?
3. If it does, about how much do you have to pay for games worth 100$ ?

anything over 100$s incurs a hefty fine/bribe. Id suggest you get the games individually or less together at a time. Also, courier shipping will be held at customs, but when I got bubble wrap it just came in the male. however, I think bubblewrap will be less secure.
