GCWL Rules and Regulations

Rules and regulations

The Gamer.LK Clans Warfare League will be played on Promodlive2.20 EU (promod_mode knockout_mr12). These are as follows.

Game mode settings
Bomb Timer: 45 seconds
Defuse Time: 7 seconds
Plant Time: 5 seconds
Round Limit: 24 rounds, with half time and switching sides at 12
Time Limit: 1.45 minutes
Score Limit: First team to reach 13 will be defined map winner


Banned weapons,attachments and grenades
P90
Scorpion
M21
Dragunov
Barrett .50cal
LMG

All Attachments are banned except for silencers

Note: for Special Grenades, the stun grenade is disabled.

All perks are disabled.

Classes
A team with five players can use a maximum of:

1 Sniper
1 Demolition
2 SMG
5 Assault

Maps
mp_backlot
mp_crash
mp_crossfire
mp_citystreet
mp_strike

Each team will choose one map from the above map pool before the start of the match. A knife round will decide which map is played first - winner gets to choose.

Side selection
Side selection will be decided by a knife round on each map where the winner will decide whether to attack or defend first.

If anyone on the opposite team is injured by gunfire or grenade damage during the knife round the offending team forfeits the bash.

Number of maps
Except for finals all the other matches, two maps will be played per match. Starting with the knife round winners map, and then followed by the knife round losers map.

In finals winner of the upper bracket will move on to finals with a 1-0 lead. Then 2 more maps will be played(selected by each team) and the team to get 2 map points wins the match. 


Calling a win
First to reach 13 rounds wins the map. BO2 and BO3 rules will be applied to determine the match winner.

Tie breaker
If both teams have an equal number of map wins at the end of two maps played, a tie breaker map will be played where the winner of that map will win the match. The tie breaker map will be selected by a knife round where winners pick the map and losers pick the side and rounds will be reduced to mr3. If the first tie breaker ends up as a draw same map will be played and sides will be changed(e.g.: first tie breaker match team who attacked first now have to defend first).

Demos and screenshots
We ask that each player records a demo of every match they play and take screenshots of the results after each map. Any suggestion of unfair play can then be resolved swiftly and fairly. The demo is to be started before the match begins, and turned off when the match is over. Demo’s must be kept on file for the duration of the competition.

Demos requested by referees should be provided without any questions asked within 24 hours of the completion of the match. Failure to do so results in a one match ban for the player. If any team fails to provide the requested demos two times in the competition they will get banned from the tournament.

An opponent can request demos but opponent team must explain their reason(s) for doing so and provide specific detailed information (i.e. approximate match time when an event took place and why they want to investigate it further). Providing non-detailed reasons such as "He cheats" will get request get rejected. Requests can only be made within the first 2 hours after the end of a match. The requested demos will be reviewed only by the GCWL admins. The opponent will have no access to the said demos. In a situation where a team fails to provide the requested demo within 48 hours, the specific player will be banned for a match and the requesting team can ask for another demo. Failure to provide the 2nd requested demo within 24 hours will change the result of the match and both players will be banned for one match.

Any demo missing 3 or more rounds will consider as an incomplete demo. If a team is manipulating the demo recording process on purpose (e.g. stopping it in a middle of the match) will consider as cheating.

Note - Referees have full power over this rules. They can decide whether to kick that team off the team from tournament or not.


Participation
Foreign players except Sri Lankans living in foreign countries are not allowed to take part in GCWL under any circumstances

Communication of server details
GCWL matches will be played in servers acquired by Gamer.lk. Server information and passwords will be sent via the Gamer.LK PM (Private Message) system, over the phone (if a contact number has been provided in the registration form), and using Garena.

We kindly request clan Leaders to check their PMs about 15 minutes  before the scheduled start time. Server IP and password will be sent to the clan leaders (or the person who registered the clan for GCWL). Passwords will not be communicated via any other means for any reason, and therefore it's the clan leaders (or the person who registered clan) responsibility to give the Server IP and password to their team mates.

Server usage will be handled only by GCWL Admins.

Walkovers and punctuality
It is the responsibility of the team captain to ensure that his team is on the match server at the time the match is set to be played, and with the minimum number of required eligible players, which is 3 (three). If a team fails to appear with the minimum number of players required, the team will not be allowed to play and a walkover to the team that is present will be given.

There is a fifteen minute time limit set. For example, if the match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM, and a team does not show up, they have until 8:15PM to comply with match requirements. If after 8:15 PM they are not ready they must immediately report the forfeit loss.

In the event that a team has informed GCWL admins of their late arrival (after the minimum 3 day notice period), the opposing team is given the choice of waiting beyond the 15 minutes or claim a walkover.

Voice communication
All players must be present in Gamer.lk's Teamspeak 3 Server (ts.gamer.lk) 10 minutes before the start of the match. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit.

Anti-Cheat
PunkBuster will be activated on the servers.

Other rules
1. No spectators of any kind will be allowed in game other than any designated admin or authorised person (commentator etc) for that game. Each team member must use the same name that they used to register with and the specific tag to avoid any incidents.

2. It is strictly forbidden to use others accounts, even if the users are in your team/clan. Such cases will always be considered as cheating. This does not apply to players who are forced to share GUID's. Players who are forced to share GUID's will specifically have to inform the GCWL Admins or the team(s) will be forfeited.

All the teams are required to use Gamer.LK Team Speak 3 Server (ts.gamer.lk) during matches. You will be required to connect to the server before the start of the match using the Gaming Alias you have registered with for GCWL. You are adviced not to change your alias in GLK Team Speak Server during the league.

3. Tournament servers may have passwords assigned. If this is the case, to connect to the servers, follow the IP with the password when connecting via the console. You can find out the password from the tournament staff

4. All programs or files, either changed game files or new files, that change the game or add to its functionality, or which interact with the game in any way, are strictly forbidden. Modified versions of the game's resource files are always forbidden, regardless of what they do. The use of any forbidden program or file by any team member during a match, leads to a forfeit loss, and could lead to a removal and ban from tournament

5. Illegal Binds are defined as;

- Any binding of three or more keys.
- Binds that alter the map model, i.e.: no fog, no foliage, etc.
- Any binds pointed to any program or function that resides outside of the CoD4 directory, with the exception of voice comms software.
- Any types of scripts proven to give a real advantage or are part of
- any 'exec' or 'vstr' bind (this does not include anything related to demos or demo players)
- any script including 'lookdown'
- any script including 'wait'
- any bind including 'attack' cannot be combined with any other command
- any bind including 'frag' cannot be combined with other commands/binds
- any bind including 'weapnext' cannot be combined with any other command
- Binding 'attack' to MOUSE WHEEL UP/DOWN is prohibited


5. Permitted Bindings include;

- Changes to assigned stock single key game play binds.
- Binding of not more than two motion keys (Example: bind a +leanright;+moveright)
- If you have a non-stock binding that you’re unsure is legal, or have a binding that you would like to have approved for use in match play, submit the information to an admin for clarification and/or consideration.
- Namebinds
- Demoscripts
- Weapon/-menu/-select-Scripts (includes all grenades)
- Volume binds/toggles
- Any player found using illegal binds will be subject to possible removal from the competition.


6. Banned exploits

Map exploits defined:
Map exploits are errors or oversights in map design made by the map developer that provide an unfair advantage to a player or a team.

Such exploits include but are not limited to:

- the ability to lean through, pass through, and see through walls, doors, and windows, and use of clipped or defective map passages to access areas outside the normal playing area.

Proof of exploits:
Any dispute made for use of exploits must be supported with evidence. Any player, group of players, or team proven to be using illegal map exploits or boosting will be subject to loss of match points and possible expulsion from the Cup. Anyone found cheating will face a match forfeit and/or removal of team from the competition.

7. Substitutions

Only players signed up on the team list may be used as substitutes.

8. Server disconnect

If the match server affects by a lag or server disconnects during a match, then the server will be restarted(only if necessary) and the round played during that time will be canceled (Even if it is a clear win situation for a team, that will be ignored and that round will be canceled). If the server doesn't come online within 48 hours the entire match will be canceled. GCWL admins have full authority over this rule. So just play on until referees tell you otherwise.

It says 24 rounds max. But is it the match 12 mode  or knockout 12 mode we're playing ?

It's not knockout. It clearly says winners will be decided by total number of rounds, not map wins.

Updated the rules and regulations.Check the first post.

This time specially we want the demos of each player. We have heard that people found a way around the PB and hacking in SL clan servers.If one team asks for some specific demos after a match,other team have to provide the demos without any questions asked. If the same team can't provide the asked demos two times, that team will get kicked out of the tournament.We will also ask for demos from team leaders randomly. Fail to do so will result in getting kicked out of the tournament.(You have to provide those demos cuz we are asking for those demos specifically before the match)So clan leaders/team leaders should specially check on their players and provide the asked demos.

Referees are looking for the people who are multi-claning as well. No multi-claning is allowed by any means.  

We have already confirmed the servers.So there wont be any issues regarding changing server ips in last minute.
These are the servers that going to use to play GCWL matches,

We are thanking n00b Alliance,MAXIMUM Gamers and Tech Morph for providing these servers. During the tournament time,that is 12th to 22nd server names going to stay in that way to run the matches without confusion.

There are three referees,

2. TM| PhrozenBot(xfire id - rikkrox)
3. [DC|XD] Nova(xfire id - hashen92)

There will be a specific referee for a specific match. But if you have any issues you can contact any of them, all of them have access to each server rcon.
