Meh xbox has a uber glitch.. People have gotten less than 10 seconds using it! (You dont need to sprint to the finish.. Just exit the course..)

Damn.. FRAPS and xfire video capture both make it too laggy to play.. Looks like I wont be able to make the video.. If anyone of y'all ever bump into me at venus or some place, I'll be happy to demonstrate for you.. Also, Its insanely difficult to improve on 12.45... Now Sub 13s arent too hard, but getting 12.5 and below is a huge challenge!

Hmm.. COD4 server is down. After my long absence from the world of CS, I've found that I lack sufficient skill to enjoy it and finally, I got crashed on ogame. So I decided to return to Time trials. Problem is, my mouse cant register single shot clicks and cant track regularly, leaving me externally bottlenecked at 12.45 seconds. Then I remembered I had plans to record a run for others to get a rough idea on how to do it.

My first attempt was FRAPS. EPIC FAIL! During recording, FPS hit 60, a far cry from the 125 that COD4 is designed to function at. My second attempt, demos, proved very promising until I found that there was no software for viewing .spd files (single player demo) -- As to why IW decided to have 2 separate formaets is beyond me.

My final attempt involved cranking down the resolution to 640x480

, turning off all effects/AA/AF and reducing sound quality from 44KHz to 22KHz (which is why it sounds weird). That allowed me to record at a tad over 100 FPS. Note however that 100 FPS is still horrible when the game is designed to run 125. I guess it wouldn't make a difference to someone who plays at 100 all the time, but it was way different to 125 shot registration and mouse tracking wise.

Vid 1 is me getting 13.3... I made a fatal error in turning the wrong way to shoot the targets at position 6, and I was a little slow at position 5.

Vid 2 is me getting 12.6... The start was a bit sloppier overall (especially the flash at position 3 -- I couldnt get it behind the table so I had to get back out of the room), but I made up for it at positions 5 and 6.

P.S.: One of my friends is starting to hit 13s! Finally seeing some competition. But he has an MX518! Unfair! Anyways, I want more competition!

P.P.S.: HA! To everyone who says COD4 is slower than CS!

YES! I broke 12.45! Finally! And with my crappy mouse too! Whats more, I was recording! I think I could have shaved another 0.1 seconds if I had jumped earlier.

(As usual, I have E bound to use, and I was trying to write "M" at the end, but my MP5 ran out of ammo

)

Its just a .3 improvement over the previous fastest vid I posted, but Its way less sloppy overall. I finally shot the position 6 targets relatively quickly (as quickly as I can without a high DPI mouse).
