Hosted by Immortals gaming cafe and Gamer.LK as the strategic partner, the ranked tournament with a prize pool of Rs. 10,000 to the winner, kicked off at Immortals Cafe at Havelock Town on the 9th of October 2016.

The warzone was set and modern warfare commenced with 21 teams barraging each other.  Post Round 3, the return of Team Maximum into the COD 4 scene of the country was ‘The Highlight’ of the day. The two key players of Team Maximum, Thunder and Rocker, switched into the clan ‘Tech Morph’ but they Team Maximum wasn’t disheartened. Instead, they used this to come out even more fierce and even stronger giving out their maximum into the games. They faced PnX|Inside Gaming, which was the 2nd best team in Sri Lanka of the COD4 scene, in the quarter-finals and proved out to be the better team and moved on to the semi-finals of Immortals e-Sports Championship 2016.

The semi-finals began with Inversion iMex combating n00b Alliance Aurora on the 1st bracket and Team Maximum clashing against Tech Morph Team zU. After a gruesome battle and epic strategies between the teams, Aurora of nA and Team zU of Tech Morph filled into the ‘Finals’ bracket of the tournament and the last match of the big day concluded with the following results:
  • 1st Place – n00b Alliance Aurora
  • 2nd Place – Tech Morph Team zU
The champions of Immortals e-Sports Championship: Season 1 – n00b Alliance Aurora ensured that they retained the title in the 2nd season and continued their reign in the COD4 scene.
