Protocol 48 for NON-STEAM!

Warning: THIS PATCH IS FOR NON-STEAM CLIENTS ONLY. STEAM USERS ALREADY HAVE PROTOCOL 48.

extract the above file to game directory, create shortcuts for files "counterstrike 47.bat" and "counterstrike 48.bat" on your desktop and use them to launch the game. [protocol 47 if you are just playing cs and protocol 48 if you are connecting to match server.(FOR NOW, SOON YOU WILL HAVE TO USE PROTOCOL 48 ONLY)]

One fine day waking up after 10 hours of straight CS and 3 hours of sleep you open steam and see that it has just updated your Counterstrike 1.6 and you realize that you just got f***ed up by Valve and can't connect to any local servers?

The unmentioned feature in this update was the forcing the Game to use protocol 48 authentication system. Thus making all *Cracked* non-steam servers useless to STEAM users.[as all the cracks were made for v19-27 etc versions of cs] After few days of waiting still their wasnt a proper client or a server patch to pwn this new Protocol from valve. The LCGZ admins decided to make their Match Server to STEAM only for the sake of STEAM community in SL. But there were many difficulties as in most clans out there had only some steam players and some use cracked steam and etc.

Soon after the update, there released few cracks but none was released to LINUX platform as all SL servers are running on LINUX computers. But finally, after endless hours of researching, development, and testing now we were able to create our own LINUX crack which will accept all Protocol48 Clients reguardless of STEAM/NON-STEAM/EMULATED/CRACKED. + the new server crack can assign unique STEAM-ID's to players and it's VAC secured!^^ So far it has worked flawlessly but please keep in mind that this is still BETA and there might be few bugs here and there, so just feel free to test it out, complain, give ur ideas and help us improve it.

The Steamworks Protocol48 update to NON-STEAM CS16 Client:

How to install
1. Download cs16_protocol48_azn.exe
2. Install it on to your existing counterstrike installation[where hl.exe is]
3. w00t UR DONE~!! Dubul clik on teh icon on deskpop to play teh gaem!

OMG FAIL?!?!

* We have noticed that on some CS installations the patch had failed. This prob is with your CS installation itself and not coz of the patch. Make sure you have a clean version of Counterstrike nonsteam with no modified models/sprites or whatsoever..[server has consistency check and will kick those players anyway]

The most easiest get-around to this is updating/downgrading your non-steam to v21/v27/v35 and applying the patch.
1. Install ONE of the following[or all as u like]

2. Then reinstall the Protocol48 Patch.

The main reason for these crashes are because of the version of non-steam client you are using. The DiGITALZONE's NON-STEAM v35 is known to be buggy. And certain steam-emulators/non-steam cracks can get buggy aswel. Please get the clean/unmodified counterstrike version from the original steam GCF files. This patch works only on Counterstrike 1.6! not NOOBSTRIKE1.6 with better models and grafix -.-

Info:
Two batch files which will replace core dlls to/from 47/48...You need to have prot48 nonsteam fix installed for this to work properly.

Install:
Copy all files to counterstrike dir and create shortcuts of bat files if you want.[ie. protocol 48 when you want to play in match server and protocol 47 when you're just pubbing

Well, obviously you can get ur dads credit-card number and buy Counterstrike1.6 from Steam Store[$9.99], but then again we srilankan hax0rs never buy anything legit when it comes to software, so yeah i present you the Semi-Steam crack. Unlike old steam cracks this b*****d can really fux the steam registry and let you download all the frikkin games *totally free*.

Dewd..that patch is for non-steam guys

You can simply connect to the match server without anymodifications using Original Steam CS

.
Since non steam guys are running on protocol 47, they cant connect to updated 48 protocol, so they have to install the patch in order to join the server

Well, If we just update teh main servers straight away more than half of CS players now playing on the server wont be able to play( non-steam>steam :S) First we have to make sure that everybody downloads the patch. And when we update the servers they can install the client update and join the server. You can always revert back to proto 47 anytime you want by installing a normal CS update. ex:v19/v21/v35 .

IMO the AVG(ghey) detects it as a virus coz its a hook to steam.exe and as it changes memory real-time when steam loads[somewhat like an aimbot or a wallhack xDD] it is sorta "HACK".

+ if nod32 says the file is clean i dunno whats the big fuzz is-a-boot!

anyways heres how to install it.
1. Get steam, run it for the first time, register a new account. www.steampowered.com
2. extract all the files in win32\ including "cfg" folder to your steam folder [c:\program files\steam]
3. run VLDR.EXE
4. Steam should load, once its loaded you can download counterstrike 1.6 from the list of games available.

If in anycase Counterstrike failed to download[ or update] just post here il find you links to manually download it. =)

*Please note that though the list shows you liek gazzilion of games u cant download everything, however all HL1 games incl CS is downloadable. So just dont waste your time downloading gigabytes for nuthin' ^^
