Hey I came across a few maps that would be considered "RETRO DOTA".. lol its crazy fun to play these.. cos this is where DOTA spawned from.. check out the map called "Danite's Hell" lol.. and you could try the old 5 series maps.. they r crazy fun cos all the heroes have not been balanced out.. lol enjoy.. try google-ing for the 5 series maps.

riptide showed me the first dota maps. It's basically the same map but very different textures and the middle river area is inaccesible. There were very few items also. I'll try finding the link.

Meh. The days of Dota 5.36

The 3 skill medusa with the imba farming.. when purge was a normal skill and rushing a burize was easy (split shot did 3x 100% dmg)  so it was like having three medusas farming.
SA with the stupid death ward that could do triple kills. Just drop the ward in a battle and watch the other team die. like b***hes.

and then b***h about how imba the sa was.

Doom with his stupid ass ult that was a sure kill unless your hero was near the fountain.


No. I don't miss it.

5.20s? something like that. I think they fixed it fairly fast but no big deal. Wait. Maybe that was a blink strike you're talking about? Only AM and QoP had blink back from the old days.

Blink strike had lots of bugs before 6.x and levelling it was pointless. You could blink strike and end up hitting nothing.

Oh. forgot to add.

I have all the maps from 5.84c onwards. I think I just missed one or two updates in June last year because I wasn't playing on this machine but everything else is still in my maps folder.

IIRC it was 6.27. Maybe .28 even, not quite sure. But it was the previous loader graphic, I remember that clearly. So I'm thinking it was around this time. Definitely not before that though.
