No idea about whatever member discount! I mean how do u even become a Barclays member!?

Just because it's BenQ doesnt' mean it's bad, and just because it's Samsung doesn't mean it's good! They all have their good models and even then they have issues with certain batches.

I would know cause i've used Samsung mostly and 2 of their very well recommended models displayed heavy backlight bleeding and uneven coloring, not to mention one failed 3 times within the warranty period, with like increasing number of dead pixels, 20+ the last time i counted before the claim, and then RGB lines running straight down the screen at places, another claim! and another occasion where it kept powering off after a few seconds! Any of these problems out of the warranty period would have left u shit out of luck, so don't think that just cause it's Samsung, a world renowned brand, u'll be safe!

nor am i planning to buy samsung. i just said that with the lower price range of the 23 inch it is not necessary as i can easily get that. that is why i am trying to get a 24 inch
