I'm currently on my way to Cebu, Philippines to represent Sri Lanka at the International e-Sports Federation Asia Conference.

There will be discussion of how e-Sports in Asia can improve and how to overcome the challenges Asian countries face when it comes to promoting e-Sports.

Will keep this thread updated with news for anyone that is interested.

Arrived at Philippines and was brought to the hotel by IeSF staff.

Had a pre-conference discussion with some officials and he had some interesting news, which I'll delve into later tonight.

Heading now for a welcome gathering with all the Asian country representatives.

Just finished the conference. A lot was discussed - most interesting of which is the inclusion of e-Sports in the Asian Indoor Games. What's noteworthy is that this means e-Sports is being recognized as a sport by the Olympics Committee of Asia (OCA). Th indoor games will be held in 2013 and Sri Lanka will get the chance to take part.

Game titles: Special Force, Starcraft 2, Tekken, League of Legends

Presentations were given by the president of Malaysian e-Sports Association on their e-Sports stadium boasting 116 gaming PC's and Herman from Rapture Gaming on the problems faced by Asian e-Sports event organisers.

The IeSF outlined their plans on joining the Sports Accord by 2013 - 2014.

Next up tour of Cebu city.

Epic scene is epic. About time we get a competitive LoL league on the way, because it's probably our best chance out of those.
