Yes you can download even 100GB but once it passes the threshold limit your speed will be limited to 64kbps (dial-up net speed ) or if you can pay 250GB per GB to maintain your net speed after the threshold

I still think SLT is better. At home i am now using etisalat broad band with only 3 bar i dont know why need 2 chk with them. speed is nothing as how they did a demo at infotel.

64kbps? Is this the actual download speed? Yeah dont want to give up unlimited connection even though its pretty slow.. Hopefully reviews are positive and SLT actually gives us this sorta speed

well almost every country offerring high speeds have fup.. even in the uk, u have BT giving u 40mbps with a fup limit of 50G.. depends on what u want to do with your connection.. i'd say just monitor your usage for these past months and then decide if u want to go fup or not..

if these are the revised packages, what happens to the existing ones? i'd love to see my 512k upgraded to 2mbps for that low cost especially since i do not download more than 20G a month..

True and agreed. My question was that my max line speed is 8mbps (checked a couple of years ago with a tech who came by). Does this mean that I cant upgrade to the 16mpbs (assuming i go for the package) and the letter they will offer is just that I will be getting 8mbps as the max due to the nature of the line?

back then, SLT only had ADSL1, 16M should be ADSL2+ (ADSL1 goes only up to 8M), so the bands they operate should be different, i think you have to recheck to ascertain the present speeds.

people who buy games on steam and origin are so screwed with this limitation though. >_<

16mbps can be given but more focused at enterprise levels and cafes, anyway its a good thing. this thing may be true coz i have experienced major drop in ping results for india on mw2 from 93 to 60-75ms.. thats huge. so in game im playing at 100 -120 95 ms ping which is amazing. not only slt, dialog also had gone some major upgrades in international portion but their access n/w remains untouched so u wont feel any difference.
