Attention all members,

With our new direction towards a corporate and commercialised gaming scene in Sri Lanka, we have decided to implement a number of changes on http://gamer.lk in order to make the website better fit with our immediate goals. As the community grows larger by the day, the moderation of peoples thoughts become increasingly difficult for our elite crew of staff members. We have been fine tuning a new system of accepting new members and pruning current members of the community in order to cleanse the Sri Lankan gaming system of the impure, and leave us with the creme of the crop.

The Gamer.LK admins, staff members and several members of parliament have unanimously agreed that the following steps should be implemented immediately to move forward our plans for the future of our generation:

Photo ID
All members will be required to associate their Gamer.LK profiles(tm) with some form of photo ID for identification purposes. This photo can be either uploaded as an avatar to your profile, or posted as a reply to this very post. You should do this now.

Post count replaced
We found that having a post count associated with your Gamer.LK profile(tm) encouraged post-whoring and low quality posts on the site. We don't want low quality posts on Gamer.LK. Therefore we will be doing away with calculating total post counts, and replace it with a rating based on the photo ID associated with your account. The rating will be assigned by a panel of staff members who have extensive experience in the observation and study of photo ID's within large test samples such as facebook and hi5.

Rating requirements
In order to increase the overall game-skill-level-rating (GSLR), moderators will be banning users with a photo ID rating below a pre-defined amount. This minimum rating will be based on a variety of factors including the alignment of the members planets, gender of the member, and distance in millimetres between the tip of the nose and right earlobe of the member in question.

Compliance deadlines
IMPORTANT: These changes take effect from the time of this posting. All members logging into their Gamer.LK profiles(tm) are required to upload their photo ID's within a 1 hour period from the time of logging in.

We hope you will work with us so that we can make this smooth transition into what can be a fantastic new system for gamers all over Sri Lanka. With your immediate action, we can take Gamer.LK to new heights in this wonderful world. The success of Gamer.LK depends on you.

U can't be serious! My religion forbids me from following these new rules! Please don't make me choose! This is completely uncalled for! Rav i know u hate me, but this is taking it way too far!

I urge other member to rally against this tyrant like the people of Libya against Gaddafi! Let show our unity as we cheer our team to victory in 2011 and give me a chance to win some Antec from EGS!

Yes, fight and you may get banned. Comply, and you'll still be members... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our membership, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!
