I use a Bose SoundLink Mini under mine. Obviously isn't comparable to something like a pair of Edifier Monitors, but if you use headphones for most things like me and the speaker for Music and YT it handles it beautifully. Pricey, though you do get the portability as well.

:D

Hard to find good, completely wireless speakers. Most of them need to be powered, or they compromise on sound quality for battery life.

Like people deciding to get a RX 580 8GB instead of a 4GB because their GT 730 4GB couldn't max out any games.

Nothing wrong with overkill :P

Just make sure it's not at the expense of something more important for your final experience

Also as for GPU YMMV. Quite possible I was testing on beta drivers or something which was why the perf was bad. As I said I tend to go overkill a bit on the GPU because I like a teensy bit of headroom to grow.

Damn chatbox cutting my posts in half. Anyway as I was saying it's got 10 year international warranty and stunning build quality. Those things alone tell me that it can and will probably Outlast a lower quality PSU bought with warranty. The risk of premature failure is one I am willing to take.

Chayan4400

July 23, 2017, 01:24:00 am
As log as you buy quality PSUs no problem. Tier one or Tier two from the PSU Tier list (search it up online). GPUs it is more risky but all depends on how much of a risk taker you are. My 480 has no local warranty worth speaking off, nor does my EVGA 550W G2. What it does have is a 10 year warranty

My budget for gpus be 42k. I shall hunt for a good bargain everywhere. Also, buying gpus without warranty is a little risky, noh? I mean gpus and PSUs are the most prone to burning out.

too early drivers man, i got rx460 on cafe, no prob with games even titanfall 2, but not full HD res

Chayan4400

July 22, 2017, 03:28:17 pm
Personally I disagree with going with a 570. I tried one borrowed from a friend for a couple days and couldn't maintain stable 60FPS on GTA V (CPU was at 70%, GPU 90%) maxed out. BeamNG again it struggled with the texture settings bumped up, while in a number of other games I'd get stutters occasion

dude it's only 9kfor 580 8gb. get it, get a loan from a lorn shark, uill regret 4gb by 2020, dat 9k alone for totally worth it

Xenocide

July 22, 2017, 01:21:49 pm
So for 1080p gaming and future uses, ie the next three years or so, the 570 is a bettef deal yeah?

Zer0

July 22, 2017, 12:55:57 pm
To be clear, I'm talking about 1080p gaming. There are games that need more than 4GB of VRAM at 2k and 4K resolutions.

Zer0

July 22, 2017, 12:55:06 pm
more vram = better graphics is a myth. VRAM (and memory in general) is a holding device. Not having enough will give you problems. Having more than you need won't necessarily improve anything.

Zer0

July 22, 2017, 12:43:09 pm
So, a card with 8GB of VRAM might show a usage of 6GB at some point, but you will still be able to run said game with 4GB of VRAM because a cerain amount of that 6GB can be offloaded if needed to.

Zer0

July 22, 2017, 12:39:04 pm
VRAM is used in the same way. Memory is offloaded only when needed. So in the case of textures, the GPU just keeps loading new ones without offloading ones that are no longer in use.

I'd rather give my game more VRAM for better GFX

Jiehfeng

July 22, 2017, 11:43:30 am
I understand the ways of RAM usage, you do too. Please don't confuse it with VRAM; there's no use for most programs to store graphical models/textures in the background anyway. :P

Jiehfeng

July 22, 2017, 11:42:29 am
VRAM is not for programs, that's RAM. In new games, next to graphical settings there is a VRAM indicator, and the newer games require above 6GB for certain kinds of settings to remain turned on.

Zer0

July 22, 2017, 11:21:57 am
People need to understand how memory works. If you have more, any program will use more than it needs to. So if you have 8GB and you see a program using 6GB, that's not an indication of the program needing 6GB to run.

Zer0

A RX 480 4GB doesn't seem to have issues with a 2k screen, so no ::)
