You could try offering a price for a basic but complete system that someone can use straight away, for a realistic used-market price?

Ie: CPU, MB, RAM, Cooler(?), PSU, Case & one of the 500GB HDDs (as an OS & basic data disk for around the 50-60k mark.

Sell the other parts separately.

Of course, it depends on how urgently you want to sell this machine.

That's some pretty optimistic pricing for a 2nd gen there any warranty?

I'm interested in the SSD if you can post SMART data.

Can you indicate the size of the tablet?

I bought the same model (used) for 8,500 a few months ago but the dimensions were  7 x 8.2 inches. (It was a bit scratched so that's an understandably low figure).

For a brand new unused oen? The market price is 55 000 to 60 000 brand new just check around in some stores. Rs 50 000 is just around the right price.....

It's 54k on RL & Nanotek's sites.

It may help your sale if you mention that it comes with warranty (''unused'' is not the same as store-purchased).

Out of topic i guess but really give them a printed map? they cant navigate through a GPS system via Google Maps and u think a hard copy of a map would help? lel

A lotta people, (myself included) used printed maps before Gmaps came on the scene, so yeah, it's low tech enough that you can't screw it up...but maybe we're looking at a generation that doesn't know what a book or an index is.

(Sorry abt the late reply, OT but still relevant given that GLK isn't exactly a hub of activity!)

These issues r very common in SL and also most do not take it seriously. Cleaning on a regular basis is essential. Also handling them incorrectly also cause damage to the card. So users need to take care.

Any tips on how to handle the card & how to clean?
I've heard mixed advice - some say if you clean it can void the warranty (assuming you screw it up somehow)?

Prices aside our taxi drivers in general need:

1) To learn key road & place-names or at least keep a PRINTED map-book in the car.
2) Basic safety - ie: check before crossing a railway track, before hurtling through a junction , esp when the lights are on blinking yellow. Don't overtake when there's a shitload of oncoming traffic hurtling at you (You're in a nano - the other guy is driving a bus - don't be the guy who gets squished like a bug). Etc etc

It's upto the taxi companies to push these service standards - and of course customers to want them!

I think the issue with the SSD is that you would need to spend the 8500-9500 for a 120GB one PLUS another 7-8k for a 1TB HDD.

As the others have said you'll notice the difference with an SSD - it's hard to watch Windows load on anything else but in this case you may not have a choice but to go for both. Or Get the HDD, partition it , run the OS, games etc on it and when you have the budget add the SSD in. If you hope to do any Lightroom or Photoshop work then the SSD can also be used as a Scratch Disk / Cache / Catalog & Previews storage for better performance with those programs.
