You have any games you can throw in with the PS4?

Probably a noob question! You said to disconnect the LAN cable. Do we have to even if the modem is switched off and relevant plugs are pulled from the socket?
Yes. Disconnect everything. Our ancient copper phone line network doesn't have surge suppressors, so it will carry a surge built up miles away. It might not even be raining in your area when you get hit with a surge.

Also with regard to the video, can you let us know how long can you use a branded power supply? I have been using my Antec PSU for bit over six years. It works fine still, but i bought a new Ryzen system recently, so just wondering whether that's okay for new components.
PSU's have quite a long lifetime, hence most high end models getting a 7 year warranty. 6 years is fine. You should be good for another year or two atleast. The only thing though, approximately drop 5% of your peak wattage per year of use and try not to load it beyond that. So treat your HCG520 as a ~400W power supply - which is still plenty for your system.

Damn that PS4 looks tempting. Sadly, two weeks away from getting paid.

Hardware / Peripherals / Re: Using a UPS is good or bad for a gaming PC ?
« on: January 03, 2018, 08:24:19 am »
A standard line interactive UPS has two uses. Stabilising input voltage and providing a battery backup when power goes out.

If your PC has a half decent power supply or if you're using a console, then the first point is already covered. So only get one if you wan't your system to keep running when your power goes out.

Your target specs are way off your budget. You'll need to spend another 20-30k more. Here's what I can offer from Redline

AMD Ryzen 3 1200
A320 motherboard
8GB DDR4 2400Mhz RAM
Geforce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5
120GB SSD
1TB HDD
FSP 250W PSU + OEM case

Rs 88,000/=

Monitor options

AOC 20" IPS - Rs 11,000/=
Phillips 22" TN 1080p - Rs 17,500/= (would recommend this).

There aren't any. "under 22k" entails a board for under a $110, which does't exist.
