Any reason you specifically want that power supply?

You should stop listening to your technician. List your system specs and we can recommend something better that will be compatible with your system.

Wow did he really recommend a 750W for that? This system would run perfectly on a good 400W power supply.

I'd recommend a FSP Hexa+ 450, Corsair VS450, Silverstone Strider 400W or Seasonic Eco 400W. All are in the 6-7k price range.

You can get the FSP or Corsair from Redline Technologies.

I had the 750W power supply before for an intel board better than the Asus one- after that one got busted we kept the same power supply.

Thank you so much for your help zero :)

I'm no tech guru, But even I can tell you that you don't need a 750W for that. Good luck with finding an appropriate PSU :)

Unless you're going to near future hardware upgrade, you'll be good with 500W. Even it won't go past the 300W mark on power usage.

If you really concerned about efficiency, 450W-550W certified PSu will be enough. Those are hitting best efficiency around 80-90% load, so you're good to go.

BTW each PSU have own efficiency curve. ;D
