[HELP] Upgrading from GTX 760
« on: December 25, 2017, 08:49:54 pm »
Planning to upgrade from GTX 760. Just  wandering whether my 4th gen i3 is capable of handling a GTX 1070 without a significant bottleneck. 60fps in 1080p is more than enough for me.

Yes it should bottleneck the 1070 when playing the latest titles. But it really depends on the game. I doubt that you'll be able to reach FHD 60fps for most games that utilizes raw cpu power as well as gpu.

You can easily plug your 1070 to your secondary PC and find out.

Fastest card I would recommend would be a RX 570. Capable of handling pretty much everything at 1080p maxed, and not too far beyond the capabilities of a i3 4th Gen.
