Careful my friend. This 'cool little PC things' could be come an addiction. Unknowingly you would spend 3000 to 4000 every month on things you never needed for your PC. <story of my life>
Exactly, and the AE app makes it even worse xD

Haha.. I get what you mean! Went in to buy an mSATA to M.2 riser board - only $2 with free postage in an envelope, in anticipation of my new system and found myself buying a few other bits and pieces! #TooTempting

Exactly, and the AE app makes it even worse xD

I'm going to try and control the urge by refusing to put the app on my phone!!  ;D (Y)

Would be interested to see what Bits and pieces you all buy from AE in regards to PC Building. Other than a screw/tool set (which I am purchasing soon), I can't think of much! Would love to see what you guys buy :) (Frequent AE/eBay shopper, just not much PC related)

I'll be getting an Asrock Fata1ity board in December with my Ryzen CPU. I've been gifted an mSATA 250GB SSD. Thing is, I can't make use of it in its current state as there is no connector on the mobo that will accept it. Seems like a waste of 250GB to me. Went on AE and found a small card that takes the mSATA card and then has a M.2 connector on the other end. Since my mobo will have 2 M.2 connectors, by plugging in the card into this connector and then putting the card into the M.2 slot, I get to make use of the 250GB mSATA card! Will be handy for me when doing video editing/Photoshop as I can dump temp working files to that before moving to a permanent home on my external HDs or NAS.

Not bad for $2. If it works, great - and if not, it ain't the end of the world! Walking around Unity Plaza hoping to find something like this would probably be a waste of an afternoon followed with a lot of blank stares!

So I ended up going with the Cooler Master 690 III as that was the only case I could find locally that fit with what I wanted. I know there are a lot of cooler looking cases and tempered glass and RGB are all the rage these days, but the case has to fit a number of conditions especially where it will be housed etc - so that limited my choice quite a bit. I did have a look at the Corsair 780T which was the only other case in stock locally that met my requirements, but damn that is a big case! Having had a chance to check it out in person, I was disappointed to see how flimsy the build was - like the side panels etc. I figured for such a large case and for the premium price, it would feel a bit more solid. It was a disappointment because that was a dream case for me and seeing it in person, ruined it. In the end, the 690 III matched what I needed so I went with that!

In the Summer, I plan to ditch my dual 22" monitors and add a single 34'' ultra-wide monitor and hopefully swap out the Zotac 1050 for a 1060/1070 if the prices get a bit more reasonable (damn you cryptominers!!). Will also change the 120GB SSD to a Samsung Pro M.2. Thanks to all those that helped me on this journey! :)

I looked at them but couldn't go with either one because one of my conditions was there needed to be at least 1 external 5.25" front bay and neither of the Silverstone cases had one. I have a lot of CD's to rip so I cannot abandon the bay just yet. Putting aside all the cheap Transformers looking cases, of the better branded cases - only the Cooler Master 690 III and the Corsair 780T had a front external bay AND were in stock locally. I would have gone with the 780T, but the flimsy build quality of the side panels pushed me towards the 690 instead.
